WP 12: Dynamic interfacial tension and surfactant stabilisation during membrane emulsification: how to avoid drop coalescence and membrane wetting
Evaluate and optimize the interaction of nanoparticle-based inks with various solids, such as silicon, polymer films and paper. The proposed research will focus on understanding the effect of physicochemical properties of the inks on the interactions upon contact with the substrate: spreading, drying rate and the self-assembly of the conducting particles upon drying onto or within the substrate pores.
WP 14: Spreading of liquids and deposition of nanoparticles and surfactant assemblies on (nano)fibers, (nano)pores and substrate heterogeneities
Understand, model and predict the nanoscale mechanisms of spreading of complex liquids over substrate heterogeneities and elements of porous structure as well as mechanisms of deposition of nanoparticles and molecules at these structures.
